Just right-click on a web page where you see them, select Ad Buster from the PageSnip menu and watch them disappear!
Note: the Ad Buster technology is a work in progress. PageSnip already removes many well known advertisement formats and others will be added as we go forward. This is another reason to use the "Check for Updates" feature often!
But what about the advertisers?
There are technologies out there that try to block all advertisement from ever being displayed on a web page. PageSnip is not one of them.
We are not against advertising or advertisers. Whether you like them or not, advertisements pay for a great deal of content on the web (even a lot of the totally free content websites are subsidized by revenue from advertisers).
To try and block these advertisements from ever being displayed would not be right (after all - if you don't like the advertising with the content you are free to NOT visit websites that have it).
However just because advertisements are displayed does not mean that you should have to waste paper, ink and toner when you print them, or have your saved content disrupted by broken advertisement links.
To this end, PageSnip tries to make it easy for you to remove annoying advertisements from your snips before you gather them.
The Ad Buster automatically detects and removes well known formats when you activate it, but you can also use PageSnip's ability to hide or remove page elements as well.
