One common way to select data for your snip is to click onto the web page you want to snip, then hold down your left mouse button and drag the mouse on the page.
Hint Drag from the "bottom up".
If you are trying to drag to select the contents of a column, click into the page at the bottom of the content you want and hold your left mouse button and drag upwards.
When you get to the top of the screen, just move the mouse over the window title and hold it - and your page will automatically scroll upwards.
If the entire page selects - don't worry, just wait until the scroll stops.
Then move the mouse to the left until the first word of your content is selected.
Web pages are like a series of boxes stacked inside each other. Sometimes if you try to click into the top of an article you are actually clicking into a box that is serving as a container for the one that holds your article. That makes it easy to select too much of the page and get content that you do not want.
Clicking into the bottom of the article and dragging up and to the left makes it easy to select just the content that you want from the innermost container.
