Installing PageSnip is easy!
Just run the SetupPageSnip.exe program and follow the onscreen prompts for the install wizard.
Reboot Required
PageSnip installs the excellent PDF print driver component from Tracker Software in order to be able to deliver high quality, tightly optimized PDF files of web pages and your snipped content.
Since this driver installs at the operating system level, a reboot of your computer IS required after the installation is complete.
Be sure that you save your data and close other applications BEFORE you run the PageSnip installer.
PageSnip User Setup Configuration Wizard
The first time you login to the computer after the PageSnip installation has completed you will see the PageSnip User Setup Configuration Wizard. This is a very short wizard that asks you how you want to store your data and then offers the suggested location for it based on your Operating System. After the wizard has set the location it will not display again for the same user (but you can run the Wizard from the Options menu in the program). You need to complete the wizard as PageSnip will not work until you confirm the location for your data files.
PageSnip runs with Windows
In addition to the internal web browser, PageSnip allows you to snip content directly from inside Internet Explorer with the right-click context menu. Due to the way Internet Explorer works, this means that PageSnip needs to be running BEFORE you start Internet Explorer. In order to make this easy PageSnip is set to start with Windows when you boot your computer.
It runs quietly in the tooltray and you do not have to interact with it unless you need it.
Hot Key
You can activate PageSnip at any time with the keyboard shortcut of CTRL+SHIFT+P. PageSnip will return to the last window of the program where you were working.
